    3. Theresa, Here's 255 W 10th Street in the 1910 Federal Census: http://www.archive.org/stream/13thcensus1910po1006unit#page/n317/mode/1up. It starts the ED, so there may be another section of the address in another ED. It does not include Brooklyn or Manhattan. You can search the 1910 Federal Census by address thanks to the wonderful One Step tools developed by Steve Morse. Use the Unified Census ED Finder at http://www.stevemorse.org/census/unified.html?year=1910. I see the Finder shows 10th Street W under Kings > Brooklyn, not Manhattan. I am looking for an ancestor, Christina Davis, who arrived in NY on 2 September 1905. She gave her sister's (Mary Davis) address as 255 West 10th Street, NY. Having googled the address, I can see it's in the district of Manhattan but I cannot work out where or how to search. I don't think its possible via "familysearch" and certainly not via "findmypast" (even with their "world" subscription). I've not yet tried Ancestry as I don't have a subscription - can't afford to subscribe to everything (so I tend to use it at the central library). Any suggestions gratefully received. First, access the 10-year indexes by selecting ?Collection des tables d?cennales de l??tat civil numeris?es?. Select the appropriate decade, and click the icon ?Acc?s au Document Num?ris?? -- D?c?s (Deaths). The images are browsable, but not searchable. ? If you find an entry of interest, note the day and month. To access the entry in the death register, return to the above link, then select ?Collection des registres d??tat civil num?ris?s?, and drill down through the registers to find the relevant date. ? The process is cumbersome but can be worthwhile, as French civil registration often provides a great deal more information than English. ? HTH ? Would it be worthwhile writing to the Mairie at Tours - or are there too many clustered round that city!?? ------------------------------ To contact the SOG-UK list administrator, send an email to SOG-UK-admin@rootsweb.com.
