Unfortunately I got switched to the new "improved" FMP site yesterday (April Fool's joke on me?). I was expecting issues, but not that bad! For example, Boyd's Marriage Index no longer gives the spouse's surname, just their first name, rendering this important source absolutely useless. As the provider of this data, is the SoG aware of this issue? There appears to have been no thought given to the new result forms at all, just a random collection of fields. Marriages for example have the Month of the marriage on row 5, the Year on row 8 and the Day all the way down at row 39! The Bride's first and last names are separated by the year (which appears twice), and for some unknown reason the groom's Father's details are given before his! I would also like to be able to filter by marriage date range - at present only birth and death date selection is available. I spent an entire day's precious leave getting absolutely nothing from the new site. April Fools joke indeed. I have been with FMP since they started out, but not for much longer I fear! Denise Carr
