    3. Hi I would recommend Family Historian 5 (FH5); I tried TMG and others but settled on this one. It is user friendly, unlike TMG (my opinion of course!) but a big plus is the online user group from which you can download free add-ons i.e. macros, that allow you to run queries. For example, you could ask your entire database "how many individuals do I not have census records for?" or "how many baptisms in my database are unsourced?" etc. I find this flexibility very persuasive in FH5's favour. The program has all the usual bells and whistles when it comes to reports and charting.... As said before though, it is personal choice and so you may hear a diversity of opinion. I chose this because of its comprehensive features, although it is not particularly user friendly. As it seems that the UK version is no longer supported I am looking for a replacement. Family Tree Maker is a leading candidate but there have been adverse reports about the latest version. > I should be grateful for advice and suggestions. > John Mitchelmore > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SOG-UK-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
