The addition to our access to newspapers is welcome, but the British Newspaper Archive will only be a useful addition to Gale's 19th Century Newspapers, not replace it despite the overlapping of titles. Searching for 'Isaac Ayton' in the 'Newcastle Courant' I found: Gale: 28 items BNA: 21 items All between 1821 and 1853. Of which, 16 were in both, 12 found in Gale but not the BNA and 5 found in the BNA and not in Gale. It's a bit like census indexes. If you don't find the entry in one, try another.
