    3. & from a Family Law Solicitor; Marriage will automatically revoke a will as it is presumed that upon marriage, a testator will want to review the will. But it is true that this can be overridden by a statement in a will that it is made in specific contemplation of a forthcoming marriage to a named person. It is no good if Mr A and Ms B are simply dating and Mr A makes a will in contemplation of marriage generally. It needs to be more specific than that - often the Will will name the fiancee and the date of the forthcoming marriage. Keith Atkinson
