I have a 1954 California Register (the social 'blue book') and am happy to do lookups. This is the social register -- of "prominent" citizens, listing their names, addresses, phone numbers, social & cultural affiliations and family members. It appears that this is the first statewide blue book. My family does not show up in such rosters--but yours might, so drop me a note if you want me to do a lookup. Be sure to put "Blue Book Lookup" or "California Register Lookup" or some such in the subject line so that I don't confuse your request with the Spam DuJour.
