The Rev. Ralph E. Click of the Church of the Brethren will officiate and interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial services will be held at the Church of the Brethren on Sunday. The public is invited. Mr. Hopwood was a native of Iowa and had lived in Kern County 20 years. He was a teacher in the Washington Junior High School. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren; Bakersfield Elementary Teachers Association; PTA; Bakersfield's Men Teachers Club; Californian Industrial Educational Association. Survivors include his widow Dorothy B. Hopwood; two daughters, Doris and Kathleen; one son, Dale, all of the home address; two sisters, Dora Polk, Visalia, Clara Corder, Idaho; two brothers, Hal Hopwood, Nebraska and Russell Hopwood, Whittier.
