W. Sams & Sons Mortuary Chapel in Arvin for Millard F. Pittman, 93, of 541 Stuart Street, Arvin, who died Wednesday in a Bakersfield convalescent hospital. The Rev. Robert Leeds of the Arvin Free Will Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Arvin District Cemetery. Mr. Pittman was a native of Aubush, Kentucky and lived in Arvin for 42 years. Survivors include a son, John of Bakersfield; five brothers, Grant and Dutch of Arvin, Melvin of Texas, Ed of Kentucky, Fred of Tehachapi; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Lee, Mrs. Edith Glover and Mrs. Effie Glover, all of Arvin and Mrs. Hazel Brand of Arkansas; 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
