The building under that sign housed the Church of the Open Door and very likely the Bible Institute as well. =================================== I used to see this building almost every day and often wondered what it housed and why was that sign up there. As children we would go to Pershing Square to watch and laugh at the "public speakers" who had unusual views on many topics. One day we were chased by some guy with a knife into Clifton's Cafeteria (we must have laughed at him). That building must have been over ten stories high and the sign ran all the way across the top as I recall. Never thought anyone actually roomed there. Later, when there was controversy over who actually owned the building I realized it was not an office building with various businesses inside but the entire building was dedicated to religious works and teaching. It's probably still there, along with the sign. Someone ought to know. Gary Radcliffe West Covina, CA
