Jim was retired from the Naval Ordinance Test Station in China Lake in 1969. He lived in the house he built, in Kernville since 1953. Jim was a veteran of World War II. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and was an accomplished craftsman. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Constance Athina Crow. James and Connie were members of the Kernville Methodist Church. Jim leaves his only son, James Harvey Crow and wife Karen; two loving granddaughters, Cassadi & Ericka; his friends J.B. and Beverly Edmiston; a beloved niece, Wilma Harrington and her sons; his brother, Lavern (Pork) Crow; brother and sister-in-law, Merle and Christina Meed; and brother-in-law Pete Panarites. Jim was a kind man with many other friends and loved ones. Mr. Crow will be laid to rest at the Kern Valley Cemetery on August 29 at 11 a.m. Arrangements through Valley Mortuary of Lake Isabella.
