Early in June, I ordered three death certificates from three different counties: Los Angeles, Riverside, and Santa Barbara Counties. However, in lieu of sending my personal checks as payments, I enclosed a money order with each written request. I received turn-around service from all the counties, and had three DC copies in my hand only one week after I had mailed my requests.
