Mrs. Nelson was born March 25, 1897, in Marshall, Minnesota and had resided in Kern County for 50 years. She was a cook for Topppers Restaurant in Taft for 26 years. She was a member of the Hotel & Restaurant Employees & Bartenders International Union. Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Charles J. & Beverly Nelson of Bakersfield and Clayton S. & Barbara Nelson of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
