E8 Odle, Silas Calvin - Services will be held in Hillcrest Mortuary Chapel at 3 p.m. Wednesday for Silas Calvin Odle, 93, who died May 28. Sid Peterson of the Stine Road Southern Baptist Church will officiate. Odle, born in Mansfield, Mo., lived in Kern County 37 years. He was self-employed as a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Annie; two sons, John of Bakersfield and Arthur of Lindsay; three daughters, Hazel Thomas of Bakersfield, Maxine Benningfield of Butte City and Lillie Branson of Beggs, Okla.; 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
