(Hank) - Henry L. (Hank) Roberts of Bakersfield, born December 25, 1902 in Lecompte, Louisiana passed away October 28, 1986 at the age of 83 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Parkview lawn, on Thursday, October 30, 1986 at 1 o'clock. The Rev. Bill Taylor of the First Baptist church on Olive Dr. will officiate. Mr. Roberts was a resident of Wyoming for 25 years and employed with Rocky Mountain Drilling Company. He lived in California and mostly Kern County for 40 years. He was a drilling contractor, co-owner of Roberts and Lee Drilling Company. After retiring, he became a real estate broker/salesman with Kenneth A. Shelton Inc., of Bakersfield and was a member of the Bakersfield Realty Board. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Lovell, Wyoming for 60 years and a regular attendant of the first Baptist church of Bakersfield. Survivors include his loving wife, Maude; daughter, Annette Steele and husband Joe of Bakersfield; son Paul Roberts of San Diego; granddaughter, Jane Lindley of Bakersfield; grandson, Greg Roberts, Bakersfield and Ti Roberts of Davis, Ca, brothers, J. J. Roberts, Thomas D. Roberts, Bill Roberts, all of Louisiana; stepdaughter, Wilma Whisler and husband Wendel; step-grandson, Chuck Whisler and wife Jan; step-great-grandchildren, David, Alison, and Timothy Whisler, all of Bakersfield and many close friends. visitation will be at Hillcrest Mortuary this evening from 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning from ? a.m. to noon.
