Brother Don Hind of the Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shafter Cemetery. Mrs. Byrd, a native of Tennessee, had lived in Shafter many years. Survivors include four sons, Floyd Byrd of Wasco, Earl Byrd of Shafter, Cecil Byrd of Shafter, and Epo Byrd of Madera; a daughter, Dessie Sharp of Shafter; two brothers, Luke Russell and Bob Russell of California; four sisters, Florence Tiner and Minnie Dennis of Oklahoma, Mary Compton and Lula Murrah of California and 9 grandchildren.
