Reverend Doctor Jim Patterson will officiate. Interment will be private. Mrs. Bayus was born Jan. 4, 1927 in Bakersfield. She was a school teacher with the Bakersfield City School district for 15 years and taught at Mt. Vernon School. Mrs. Bayus attended East Bakersfield High, Bakersfield College, California State University, Fresno and California State University, Bakersfield, where she received her teaching credential. Mrs. Bayus was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her husband, Louis A. Bayus of Bakersfield; son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Cathy of Newark, Calif.; son Daniel of Bakersfield; daughter and sons-in-law, Elaine Bayus Blackett and Hill Blackett, III of Piedmont and Trudy and John Hanley of Californian Hot Springs and eight grandchildren.
