Valov 1901-1990 Funeral services were held Sunday at 10 a.m. in the Russian Christian Molokan Church of Shafter, for Mary C. Valov, 89, who died March 30th in a Bakersfield convalescent hospital after a long illness. Pastor William Nazaroff officiated and burial was in the Shafter Cemetery. Mrs. Valov was a native of Russia and had lived in this community since 1931. She had been a homemaker most of her life. She was along time member of the Russian Christian Molokan Church. She is survived by her children, John Valov of Tulare, Sam Valov of Rosedale, Bill Valov of Los Angeles, Vera Bowling of Gardena, Eleanor Brinsfield, and Betty Slivkoff both of Bakersfield and Nancy March of Downey; sisters, Tanya Lidoff and Nadja Sakaroff both of Los Angeles, Vera Eagles of Fresno, Anna Galkin of Bakersfield and Luba Galkin of Huntington Beach; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
