Reese Service 2 p.m., Dec. 22 Services will be held at Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara for Olan H. Reese, 78, who went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 19, 1992. Mr. Reese was born in Marlowe, Okla. on July 14, 1914, a son of Henry and Bertha Reese. He married Darlene Ballew in 1936 and they came to California in 1938 and farmed in Chowchilla. They moved to Bakersfield in 1961. Mr. Reese was last employed with McCaslin Trucking. He is survived by Darlene, his wife of 56 years; mother, Bertha of Bakersfield; brother Fred of San Diego; sister Agnes of Oklahoma; his three sons and their wives, John and Arlene, Fred and Karleen of Bakersfield, Olan Ray and Cherry of Squaw Valley, and five grandsons.
