Thanks to all who replied to my post. I may not need to look for an obit now. I somehow managed to find the informant on my grandfathers death certificate listed on the CA deaths. It showed her maiden name. Then I searched CA births for a child born and listed mothers maiden name and I got a match!!! I looked this person up on the phone directory, and will be calling them soon. Wish me luck!
