He had been a resident of California 51 years and resided in Kern County 22 years. He was a retired oil pumper, an occupation which he followed for 50 years and was last employed by Superior Oil Co. at Rio Bravo. The Rev Alan Stringfellow, Pastor of first Baptist Church will officiate. Mr. Copeland is survived by his widow, Cora C. of the home Address; a son, Carl of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; grandchildren, Cary Copeland of Fontana and Donald, Kevin, and Corinne Copeland of Calgary.
