Godwin, 76, 131 Fernwood Street, who died July 28 in Bakersfield. The Rev. Herman Lippert of the University Christian Church will officiate and interment following in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Godwin, native of Arkansas, lived in Bakersfield 31 years. He was affiliated with the Challenge Creamery for more than 20 years in the maintenance department before retiring. He was an active member of the Eastside Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Muriel Caton of Oildale; a brother Ozzie Duffel of Trona; three sisters, Lillian Ogden of Topeka, Kansas, Mae Sidebottom of Livermore and Millie Morgan of Flint, Michigan; and three grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Leonard Case, Virgil Strohm, Robert Horrell, Loren Dillard, Otis Beshears, and Lonnie Dugger. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Willison, Leonard E.
