The Rev. Paul Orndoff of Church of Nazarene will officiate and interment will be in Wasco Memorial Park. A native of Texas, Mr. Blanton resided in the Wasco area 24 years. He last was employed as a mechanic by Jackson & Perkins nurseries and previously had been employed for many years by McConnel Farms. Survivors include the widow Ruth; eight sons, Kenneth, Kelly, Joe, Melvin & Dwight of Bakersfield, Johnny of Ridgecrest, Keith of Heber and Martin of Wilton; two daughters, Penny Blanton of Bakersfield and Dolly Kirschenmann of Shafter; four brothers Rland of Bakersfield, Ewing of Shafter, Irving of Texas and Clarence of Colorado; three sisters, Orpha Walt, Lucille May, and Bertha Ward, all of Texas; 26 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.
