Mesa on 5-31-98. Officiating will be Pastor Carlos Fandino and VFW Post 7665. Originally of Simole, Oklahoma. Born 8-2-1943. James worked 14 years for the Marathon Oil Company before retiring. He was in the service from 1969 thru 1972. James was stationed in Germany during some of this time. A life member in the VFW, back country horseman in Californian, enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding. Also an ex motorcycle racer. Graduated from North High School in Bakersfield. Always ready to lend a helping hand to all and never knew a stranger. He will be missed by his wife, Patty of 11 years and his family; sons, Kent Thomas of akersfield; Tate Nagle and Tim Nagle, both of Kernville; brother, Jerry Thomas of Bakersfield; sisters, Wanda Bamgardner, Nadine Decker and Jackie Thomas, all of Bakersfield; mother, Molly Thomas of Bakersfield; 8 nieces & Nephews.
