Blanton, 73, Rt.2, Box 419, who died April 16 in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. J. Paul Alexander will officiate and interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Blanton, a native of Texas resided in Kern County 31 years, was a cotton ginner and was last employed by Producer's Cotton & Oil for 31 years. He is survived by his widow Ruby Mae, Bakersfield; three sons, Roland J. Blanton, Los Osos, Thomas & Ray D. Blanton, both of Bakersfield; a daughter, Nell Hoover, Bakersfield; three brothers, Ewing Blanton, Shafter, Irving Blanton, Texas, and Clarence Blanton, Colorado; three sisters, Lucille May, Orpha Walt and Bertha Ward, all of Texas, 8 gandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
