Rev. A. Joseph Heffernan will officiate and interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Mr. Saunders, a native of Victor, Colorado had resided in California & Bakersfield since 1915. He attended schools in Colorado, Nevada, California & Guadalajara, Mexico. He retired from the Santa Fe railroad as a conductor after 52 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the United Transportation Union. Survivors include the widow Maude (Molly) Saunders, a sister Sara C. O'Hare, both of Bakersfield. Pallbearers will be his nephews Raymond Pascoe, Kevin Pascoe, Sean Pascoe, Mark Pascoe, Patrick Franey, and Gerard Franey. Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara is in charge offuneral arrangements.
