F11 Armstrong, Gene Otto - Memorial funeral services will be held Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Mish Funeral Home, Oildale. He was a native of Steel, Missouri and had lived in Kern County for the past 27 years. He was a plant superintendent for over 10 years for the I.N.C. Carbon Co. He had been ill for quite some time and came to Shafter in 1957 before moving to Bakersfield. Survivors include his wife Connie Lee (Brandy); his mother, Iva Lucy Armstrong of Shafter; his children, Melissa Jo, Mandi Lee, and Mary Gene Armstrong, all of Bakersfield; his brothers Charles and Clyde of Bakersfield and Garland and Leslie of Shafter; his sisters, Jamie Link, Clara Preston, Maudie Graves and Jewell Lytle all of Shafter.
