    3. www.4dw.net/socal For those of you who aren't aware of the Southern California Students Yearbooks web page, you might take a look at it. Several people have found family members listed there and a very few have even found photographs of their recent ancestors. All the yearbooks I've used for the students' listings were at least 50 years old. The page was originally intended for Los Angeles students only because that is the area of my genealogical search. However, I often could not resist an old yearbook from another county when I came across one. So, The Los Angeles Students web page became the Southern California Students web page. Basically, the geographical cut-off is the northern Los Angeles County line, but I found a few Ventura and Santa Barbara yearbooks that I couldn't resist . . . Updating and maintaining the page has been a wonderful experience. I've 'met' some very nice and very interesting people. I even heard from a 1934 graduate of one of the schools who was disappointed because photographs of several of her classmates appeared in the listing, but hers did not? (I've since obtained another yearbook for that school in which her photograph appears, but haven't had time to get the information and the pictures transcribed and uploaded.) After several months of weighing my options for keeping the web page going and yet getting some things done around here - I think I've come up with a solution: Is there anyone out there who would like to take over part or parts of the page? The listings and data could be split by county and new web pages could be created. San Diego County and Imperial County are the most represented areas, other than Los Angeles. There are also a few Anaheim yearbooks listed on the page. We could even split Los Angeles - Pasadena has a good start and I have no genealogical interest in that area. Mine is not a commercial site. There are no ads and there is absolutely no financial incentive for maintaining the web site. I hope that anyone to whom I turn over parts of the data ( and maybe a few yearbooks) would keep their site non-commercial, also. Knowledge of web site design is not a requirement for creating a web page. I know! I didn't know anything about html or tables or anything else when I listed my first yearbooks. I don't know much more now, but I keep everything simple and have only had a few disasters . . . Well, I'm still considering whether to hit 'send' - or delete this message. I feel like I'm giving up a child. If you're interested, or just curious . . . we can talk. Karla
