Pastor John Cordova and Meudell-Oildale Lodge No. 695 F&AM will officiate. Mr. Brantley was born September 4, 1916 in Henderson County, Illinois and had resided in Kern County for over 70 years. He was employed as an operating engineer in the construction industry for over 45 years. Mr. Brantley was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union #12 for over 45 years and the Meudell-Oildale Lodge No. 695 F&AM for 45 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura A. Brantley in 1991 and a son, James Orvell Brantley in 1976. Survivors include his son, Dennis Patrick Brantley and daughter-in-law, Charlotte of Posey, CA; daughter, Lois Beavan and son-in-law, Herk of Bakersfield; sister, Edna Julian of Bakersfield and grandchildren, Monty, Richard and Cindy, Carrie & husband Robert Morgan and Tracy & husband Janso Van Curen, John Gentry & a great granddaughter, Molly Laura Morgan.
