Owens Sr., 39, of 1025 Glade Street, who died June 14 in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. O. B. Robertson, of the First Baptist Church of Thousand Oaks, will officiate. Mr. Owens was born in Val Alstyne, Texas, and had resided in Bakersfield 19 years. He was manager of the buck Owens Production Co. for the past 2 1/2 years and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Mr. Owens is survived by his widow, Mrs. Loraine Owens of Bakersfield; three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Petty, Miss Susan (Winders Owens, Miss Kim Owens, all of Bakersfield; two sons, Melvin L Owens, Jr., Larry Owens, both of Bakersfield; two sisters, Miss Dorothy Owens of Bakersfield and Mrs. Mary McKinney, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one brother, Buck Owens, of Bakersfield and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Owens of Bakersfield. Pallbearers will be Hal Laffoon, Johnny Kaye, John Bedingfield, S. C. Malby, Mike Owens and Gene Byrd. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Sharon Kern Co. Volunteer
