Mrs. Peters was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on May 24, 1912. She was married to Lee Peters in Drumwright, Oklahoma on February 14, 1928. Mrs. Peters was a resident of Kern County for 57 years. She was affiliated with the Apostolic Church. She was a homemaker for 65 years. Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her husband, Lee on May 31, 1992 and by two children, Jesse Peters and Joy Austin. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Hawn of Tehachapi; son: Ken Peters of Tehachapi and Don Peters of Atascadero; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; sisters: Wilma McGehee and Billie Eason, both of Ravia, Oklahoma. Dr. Marvin Slifer of the Mountain Bible Church officiated at the service. Interment followed the funeral service at the Tehachapi Cemetery Eastside.
