Olds, 55, 3431 Monterey street, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Payne and Son Funeral Home, with the Reverend Charles R. Prewitt officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Union Cemetery. Olds, a native of Texas, was born July 23, 1896, and died June 11. An engineer for Santa Fe at the time of death, he was a resident of Bakersfield for 39 years. His son, Sergeant Jay A. Olds, Fort Sheridan, Ill., left for Bakersfield on June 11 with his family. He will leave for overseas service soon. In addition to his son, Olds is survived by his widow, Louise of Bakersfield; two daughters, Eva Moore of Bakersfield and Alice Murphy of San Bernardino; two sisters, Ida Denny of Bakersfield and Flora Rankin of Palmdale; and three brothers, William, Walter and J.
