SILVA - Arroyo Grande Dies Grover City - 1-24-1952 - Manuel Perry SILVA, 67, resident of the Arroyo Grande valley for the past 40 years, died yesterday in a San Luis Obispo hospital following a long illness. A native of Pico, Azores Islands, Mr. SILVA was a member of the I.D.E.S., the UPEC, and the Knights of Columbus, all of Arroyo Grande. He is survived by his wife, Felomenia SILVA, of Grover City; 3 sons, James SILVA and Albert SILVA, both of Hanford, and George SILVA of Grover City; a brother, Frank P. SILVA of Providence, R.I., a sister, Mrs. Mary SILVA of Pismo Beach; 3 sisters all of the Azores Islands; and a grandchild. Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tomorrow night in the Wood Funeral Chapel, Arroyo Grande. Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 am Saturday in St. Patrick's Catholic church with Fr. James Marron officiating. Burial will be in the family plot of the Arroyo Grande Cemetery.
