Rev. Pete Baker will officiate. Mr. Turner was born June 8, 1914 in La Junta, Colorado and moved to the Bakersfield area in 1936. He worked as a boilermaker for the Southern Railroad and was a small business owner in Lamont for many years. He was a member of Tehachapi Lodge #313 & Scottish Rite. He attended First Assembly of God Church and was a past president of Lamont Lyons Club. Argus enjoyed golf and fishing and camping with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Media Turner, a son and daughter in law Argus Dewayne & Lois Turner of Bakersfield, a daughter Wanda Oxford Rice of Bakersfield, a son and daughter in law Larry and Deanna Turner of Bakersfield, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
