Bob has lived in the Bakersfield area since 1936. Bob graduated from Kern Co. Union High School. Bob was also in the Korean War and a retired vet. Bob worked for Arco as an electrician for thirty two years. He was a member of the Arco Rovers R.V. Club and Arco retiree. Bob was also a member of the Valley Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Bob was a loving father and husband. His survivors include his wife, Betty Rose Turner; son and daughter in law, Robert Stanley and Carlene Turner. Bob loved and will miss his sons, Vance Eugene Turner and David Keith turner and a loving grandfather of Robert Stanley Jr. and Timothy David Turner and a loving brother, Argus Turner and a sisters in law, Media Turner, Hazel Turner and Alma Turner; and many nieces and nephews and friends. Preceding Bob in death were two sons, John Edwards and Myron Blane. Memorials may be made to the Kern Hospice and the Bethany Homeless Shelter. Bob will be loved and missed by all who knew him. There will be visitation on Sunday, June 27 at the Hillcrest Mortuary from 10 to 8 p.m. at 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. and a graveside service at the Hillcrest Memorial Park at 10 a.m. Monday, June 28.
