Graveside services will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Frank Meyer will officiate. Stella was born February 18, 1927 in Taft to Ira and Lola Lynch. In 1927 the family moved to Bakersfield where Stella was educated, married and raised her family. Stella was married to Floyd Petty and had five children. Stella retired from the Kern County Sheriff's Office in 1990 following 30 years of dedicated service. Starting as a clerk-typist, Stella advanced to become Records Supervisor of the department and was an officer and lifetime member of the California Law Enforcement Association of Record Supervisors. Stella was very proud of the professionalism of her department and the accomplishments of her staff. Stella will be remembered or her unwavering love and support of her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter and sister. She taught us all about honesty, commitment and integrity. We will always remember her love for us. Stella was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Roy and Paul. Stella leaves to cherish her memory husband Floyd Petty; brother Ira Lynch and wife Ida; children, Connie Daillak, Kathy Wright and husband Wayne, Nathan and wife Sandra, Dan and wife Laurie, all of Bakersfield, and Dennis and wife Margaret of Bozeman, Montana. Grandchildren, Valerie Petty, Shelley Isom and husband Brian, Nathan Petty, Jr., April Donahoo, Matthew Poarch, Brett Petty, Joshua Lynch, Nicholas Petty, Jacob Lynch, Phil Petty, Timothy Petty, Noal Petty, Elizabeth Petty, Allison Petty, Christopher Daillak, and great-grandchild Brittany Isom; special Aunt Eunice Taylor and lifelong best friend Barbara Turner, and man friends from Height Street Baptist Church.
