C. E. Franklin, Wesley Cox and Eddie Morphis will officiate. A special Memorial message will be read by Woodrow Gann. Interment will be in Greenlawn memorial park in the haven of rest section. Mr. Wood was a native of Oklahoma and had lived in California for 19 years, 16 years in Kern County. Mr. Wood was a member of the Oildale Church of Christ in which he served 11 years as an Elder. Mr. Wood sponsored the youth of Mojave in athletic events. Mr. Wood had been a contractor and had operated his own plumbing business. Survivors include his widow, Lora May, of the home address; two daughters, Mattie Jo Hackett of Mojave and Alice Ann Offill of Santa Barbara; three brothers, Ernest Wood of Phoenix, Kelly Caskey of Longview, Wash. and Herman Wood of Duncan, Okla.; three sisters, Alice Shadley of Springfield, Ore., Ada French of Sayre, Okla. and Etta Porter of Garber, Okla., three grandchildren, Wayne Hackett, Erwin Hackett and Pamela Hackett, all of Mojave. Pallbearers include Foster Offill, Ray Offill, R. B. Offill, J. D. Fuller, Jim Bryant, Doug Dixon, Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Marion C. Barnard, Spencer Lees, Paul Boles, Frank Russell, Lucky Mullins, Ray Kennedy, Glenn Brown, Jim Skinner, J. P. Anderson, Jack Westerman, Lee Stuck, Ralph Beaman, Cernie Crismas, Ellery Litterell, Woodrow Tubb, Lee Bernson, W. O. Smith Jr., Lee Cox, John Crow, Glen Fisher and Clyde Trammell.
