I recently posted a listing of inhabitants at the "Bella Avion Hotel" in Los Angeles in 1860. I just saw an old photograph (undated, but horse and buggy days) of a hotel in Los Angeles named the Bella Union. It's likely that what I read as Avion is actually the Bella Union Hotel. Karla
