Since I don't know the county, I can't be more specific ... use www.vitalrec.com or www.vitalchek.com & either order on line , or use their information to contact the relevant county directly. If you don't know the county, try at the on-line CADI (Calif. Death Index). I believe that's available at ancestry.com. It will have at least the county, & depending on the year, various other info. You could also enter "Fowler" into www.55-1212.com or a searcher (Yahoo, AltaVista) & they would lead you to the county.
