hello terry, thank you for your e-mail. i could of sworn that rancho los amigos was off of imperial in norwalk. i just gave my father a ring and he said that i am getting ranchos los amigos mix up with the place my grandmother died in norwalk on imperial (another convalescent home). sorry about the mistake. can you tell me what is left of ranchos los amigos. my father said that a japanese firm has bought up the land and plan to make a golf course in the area, and only very little of rancho los amigos is still there. i asked you this question, as 2 of my mother's uncles (just discovered she had aunts and uncles living in the los angeles area), had lived there (she did not know that she was related to them men). i want to get more info from them about these men (family members, etc.). thank for your time. bye for now, sam-quito ************************************************************************* A message from Sam-Quito Padilla G. at: samquito@nmia.com We need donations & volunteers for the NM Death Index Project. Its still there and busy as heck Sam. Its a rehab facility now. Every Friday they see and treat patients that are suffering from Post Polio Syndrome. They see 12 a day. They are so busy, that you have to wait 5 months to get an appointment. I will send you some information on what all is going on now at Rancho Los Amigos Sam. I am pretty sure that it hasn't been sold. My wife's next appointment there is in Feb. 2001. Will email some info off to you tomorrow.
