    3. I agree, I have not seen the old addresses with a street. I our old address the first number was the route and the second number was the box number. (Rt X Box yyy) Recently I read that RFD was Rural Federal Delivery, I had always heard Free also. The time for the above address was 1911, and the place was probably the Los Feliz district just south of Griffith Park, or Atwater Village, or south Glendale (north of downtown Los Angeles, of course). Why are there TWO numbers in the above address??? I know that RFD means Rural Free Delivery, but nothing else. Actually, I would expect a rural (farm) address to have no street number at all.
