Hello, I am new to this list and CA.....I know almost nothing of the state, I am from TX. I am looking for Van Neiz, CA.......and I know I'm spelling it wrong and ya'll are all laughing.....I would be too. Anyway, I have an aunt (Olga Mraz) who was married to a Courtney Van Horn(e). They lived in Van Neiz, CA in the 1970's and were swing/big band dancers/performers. They were preparing for a trip to TX for Olga's brothers funeral around Nov.24-30, 1975, when, while in his driveway and packing the car, Courtney was struck by a hit and run driver and killed. I am looking for any info on the pair. Olga (stage name Sonja) is still living but is in a resthome in Hallettsville, TX, and suffers from Alzheimers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Elizabeth: No one will laugh--you spelled it just exactly the way it is pronounced! It's Van Nuys--now does that make any sense? Van Nuys is a city in Los Angeles County. I would suppose death certificates, police reports, court actions would be in the county jurisdiction.
