I have just transcribed part of the 1870 Census for Kern County, CA. It covers the first of six townships. This first township covers a postal area of Harilah. I hope to to complete Kern County's 1870 Census by transcribing the remaining 4 townships in Inyo County that were part of the Census that year in the near future. I am letting the subscribers to the Kern list that a link will eventually be included on the Kern County CAGenWeb site. Future Townships will cover the areas of Bakersfield, Tehachapi, Linns Valley & Kernville. I will be continuing my transcriptions to get these areas on line as soon as I am able.
