I have just transcribed a second township from the 1870 Census for Inyo County, CA. It covers the Cerro Gordo Twp. area. I hope to to complete Inyo County's 1870 Census by transcribing the remaining 2 townships in Inyo County that were part of the Census that year in the near future. Unlike the Bishop Creek Twp, Cerro Gordo Twp was primarily a 'mining camp' area. A sizable number of the people worked as miners or in the mines in the area.
