The "American Film Institute Catalog of Motion Pictures" indexes for 1911 through 1970 (except the 1950s, which is missing at my library), does NOT have an Emwright or Emright or Enwright, but it DOES have a Raymond ("Ray") ENRIGHT, born 1896 at Anderson, Indiana, died 1965 place unknown, but maybe SoCal. Ray Enright started in the pix biz in 1914 and was a director 1927 to 1953 at various studios. The problem is, you said Emwright, not Enright. The names rhyme, but I doubt that's good enough.
