Campbell, 91, 229 Irene St., who died Aug. 26. The Rev. Joseph Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Campbell, born in Bushnell, Illinois, came to California from Colorado when she was 16 years old. She worked four years as a teacher in Butte Co. and married John P. Campbell, a Butte Co. cattleman, who preceded her in death in 1948. She came to Kern County in 1940 as warder at the California Institution for women at Tehachapi. She was employed as an assistant Probation Officer for the County of Kern for 15 years. She was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, The Legion of Mary and the Kern County Retired Employees Association. She is preceded in death by her son Walter Campbell in 1981. Survivors include her daughters, Beulah Ware of Bakersfield, Dorothy Wisel of Morro Bay and Nadine McHenry of Millbrae; her grandchildren DeLora Doolittle, Wendine Wisel, Wendel Wisel, William Ware, Lucinda Ware, Austin, Stacy Achen and Michael McHenry and four great grandchildren.
