Hi All: I need to research the Inyo County newspapers. I was working with the Inyo Independent at the Beale Library here in Bakersfield, but, it was on microfilm in the negative form. Extreamly hard to read and impossible to copy. The local film starts with July 1870. Does anyone know if there was an Inyo paper prior to 1870 and if so what and where it may be housed. Also, does anyone know if the Inyo Independent was ever micro filmed in the positive, rather than the negative? Also ( one more time ) does anyone know if the Inyo Independent was ever indexed by names? Thanks for any assistance. Gail Darling Bakersfield, CA
