For three years past the deceased has been suffering with that deceptive yet fatal disease the consumption. Having tried all the powers of the healing art, she came with her husband, Mr. H. C. Dyer, messenger of Wells Fargo and Co. Express Co. to San Diego, a few weeks since, hoping that the balmy air and invigorating climate of the place would lengthen out the days of life. But it seems the coming had been put off too long, and on Wednesday last, surrounded by loving friends, and consoled by the assuring words found in the Book of books, she quietly dropped into the gentle sleep called death. All that a loving husband and the find kindness of friends could do was done for the sufferer during the days of her illness. Having lived the life of a true Christian woman, it was easy for her, thou so young and surrounded by all that makes life desirable, to answer the call of the kind Father, who doeth all things for the best. Mr. Dyer has the sympathy of his many friends in his sad bereavement. 4 November 1869 MARRIED - On the 31st inst., in the Baptist Church, by Rev. D. A. Dryden, C. M. Arnold, Esq and Miss Alice M.
