"Al" - Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the West Side District Cemetery, Taft for Alfred E. "Al" Nichols, 66. Mr. Phillip Gonzales will officiate at the services. Mr. Nichols was born in Rolla, MO., April 19, 1925, and passed away Thursday. He had lived in Taft for the last 43 years and retired from Arco in 1985 after 34 1/2 years of service. He enjoyed traveling and camping. Mr. Nichols was a member of the Raft Church of Christ. His survivors include his wife, Verma Nichols; his children and their spouses, Colleen and Robert Peters, Jewell and Gary Simmons, Sondra Nichols, Allen and Sherry Nicols and Gordon Nichols, all of Taft; his grandchildren, Cassie, Elizabeth, Samuel, Kaddie, Joey, CeeCee, Haley, Chiloe, Jesse, Alex and Macie and by many other children that called him grandpa.
