    2. You might have to find out which library is close to there, and request a city directory look up from them. To find out which neighborhood that would be, go to yahoo.com, maps, put in the address, and it will bring up a star of that address. Then there should be a list of businesses. For the yellow pages, you would do Los Angeles for the location, Public Libraries. Also, I noticed there were acouple of people on Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness who do public records lookups: http://raogk.rootsweb.com/californ.htm You might try that. But, I would do the libraries first, even if you have to make acouple of calls. Do you have a death date, birth date for your person? If you have both of those you can send for a death certificate.
