Rev. Steve Starr, pastor of the First Methodist Church will officiate at the afternoon service. Mr. Bortz was born in Reading Penn on July 6, 1905, and passed away at his home on Tuesday morning. He was last employed as an oil worker and was a member of the Boilermaker's Local Union No. 72 in Portland, Oregon. Mr. Bortz is survived by his wife, Irene Bortz, his son Ernie C. Bortz; his daughter Patty Schirmeister; his granddaughter Irene Vohnout; his great granddaughter Danielle Vohnut all of Taft; his son Warren Bortz and his daughter Helen Herring both of Portland Oregon and several grandchildren.
